I am so excited about today’s link! The reason is that I have been in love with Himalayan salt for years now. I use it to keep my electrolytes in balance, especially when running. No poisonous Gatorade here, just all natural Himalayan salts. I’ve turned on many of my friends to it and even total strangers. I was approached during my last ultra “aren’t you the girl who gave me some of those Himalayan salts?”. I didn’t recognize him but said it probably was. His entire group was so excited to meet me, they all loved them and couldn’t wait to hear what other insider secrets I had for them 🙂 Unfortunately not many. But these salts are amazing with a full panel of electrolytes. If you are any sort of athlete, if you drink a lot of water or if you live in a humid climate this article is for you! You can easily just take a pinch and swallow it with water like you would a pill (that’s how I take it). You can of course just sprinkle it on your food but I personally don’t like the taste of salt on food. When running I put it in small craft bags and keep in in my run pack. Luckily it’s now easy to find. I bought a big container at Ross for $7 and it has lasted me a few years.
