I couldn’t have titled this article better: The Great Grain Debate. My friends over at Precision Nutrition took on the debate and wrote this great article. I personally feel better on minimal grains but this is not for everyone. When I do have grains I stick to quinoa and occasionally rice and I can feel a difference in how my body functions with an without them. If you decide to try going grain free ensure you have plenty of nutrients (fiber!). Sweet potatoes, squash, fruits and veggies should take care of your colon. There are tons of delicious recipes out there. Try a 30 day experiment, then add grains back in 1 at a time and see how each effects you personally. Nutrition is not a 1 size fits all field which is why there is so much conflicting information out there, especially when it comes to grains. I believe a healthy diet can either include them or not, depending on your personal needs.
