Is _____ (fill in diet name here) the best diet ever? Without even filling it in, I will say NO! We are all so different there is no one correct diet for all of us. It’s one of the reason I love nutrition and health. It’s like a puzzle and we have to put the pieces together. Here is a great article on what you should look for in a sound eating plan. If your plan does not include these elements stay away from it. The grapefruit diet? No protein, too restrictive, need I go on? Run fast and far away from this one. Paleo or Vegetarian? Done properly, either can be well balanced, high in vegetables and contain a variety of healthy foods. There are also tons of delicious recipes to keep you from getting bored. If one fits your needs give it a whirl and see how you feel on it. Keep tweaking until you find what your body wants. No one diet is right for everyone and no diet may be perfect for you.
